“Simple Ways To
Lose Weight And Feel Great

     Ladies, ladies, ladies...

No more delays! No more waiting until Monday! No more looking for the perfect diet!

No more expensive fad diets that just don't work!

Did you know that over HALF of North America is reported to be dieting right now?

     WHAT IS GOING ON?

No other country around the world has as many fad diets or women dieters as ours does.

When we put together the idea for Get Gorgeous Now, we wanted to be sure we discussed the things YOU wanted to know... and not just the things we felt like talking about.

Not surprisingly, we came across tons of women who wanted to know more about how to lose weight AND feel good during the process...

First, I recommend that women always carry around a notebook and a pen.

Make sure that you write in the book everything you eat... preferably right after you are done with each meal and snack.

Be sure to record things like "I finished my daughter's cereal at breakfast"...

Sampled some sweets at the office?

     Write that down too!

Just a "taste" of the stew you made for dinner?

That has to go into the notebook too!

Writing down what we eat and drink FORCES us to be completely aware of what we are putting into our mouths and, in a way, it holds us accountable for weight we gain or lose.

Track your intake and decide what changes you want (and need) to make.

When you are doing this, write down your mood, your thoughts, and any other relevant details.

Read back over it at the end of each week. You'll notice trends in the way your happiness (and not-so-happiness) peaks.

By watching your trends, you can then start asking yourself the most important questions of all:

     "WHY?"

     "Why am I eating this?"

"Am I hungry, tired, bored, stressed, lonely?"

The truth is, women will eat for one of two reasons:

     1. Because they're hungry.

     Or...

     2. Because of emotion and temptation.

If you're constantly hungry, don't skip meals. Instead, mix up your eating habits to speed your metabolism.

Eat smaller meals more frequently, be sure to get proper amounts of all food groups, and drink plenty of water.

If you're always hungry, avoid empty snacks and sugars. Go for foods rich in protein and complex carbs instead.

On the other hand, if you find that you're eating because of reason number TWO (emotion and temptation), then listen up.

Women have a tendency to use FOOD to compensate for imbalance within our emotions... unfortunately, eating too much will often make us feel guilty, which leads to further imbalance and more eating...

The whole thing is a vicious cycle.

That's why diets usually never work for the long term.

Because they're only temporary changes in eating habits... rather than changes in our PSYCHOLOGY around eating.

     Make sense?

When you're feeling anxious, worried, sad, and irritated, you'll have a tendency to eat junk. Ever noticed this pattern?

If so, give me a silent nod.

The truth is, the only way to become truly disciplined around eating is to start OBSERVING YOUR EMOTIONS as they relate to FOOD.

When you start experiencing a negative emotion, IMMEDIATELY observe it in its appropriate context.

The AWARENESS will help you stay away from eating food in hopes that it will "make you feel better."

     One more thing...

TEMPTATION around food gets the best of us all the time.

The most obvious solution to eliminating temptation is to QUIT BUYING FOODS THAT AREN'T GOOD FOR YOU!

     :-)

Of course, these days you'll never be able to escape junk food completely.

That's why you need to develop your SELF IMAGE around eating healthy foods.

     Say to yourself,

     "I resist temptation."

     "I only eat healthy foods."

"I do not let emotion interfere with my eating habits."

Write these "mantras" down in your journal if you need to.

Start to "pride yourself" in your healthy eating habits.

Human beings are amazingly PROUD creatures... and if you make unhealthy foods HURT YOUR PRIDE, you'll quickly drop the habits (and the pounds!).
