     We all know that looking good can cost us a small fortune.

     Do you like the look of designer clothing?

     So do I!

     That is why I was so happy when I discovered a tiny secret... eBay.

     eBay sellers carry all sorts of designer wears from sunglasses to jackets to bags and more!

     Here are some "buyer beware" tips...

     Never purchase designer wears from an eBay seller based overseas. It is through personal experience and reading horror stories that I have learned that if it comes out of a country overseas, CHANCES ARE it's just a copy-cat.

     That isn't to say that you can't purchase products from overseas- just know what you are buying.

     Read over the eBay descriptions very well and read through the seller's feedback from other companies.

     It will help you make a sound decision on purchasing.

     Another thing to watch for while shopping on eBay is the shipping costs.

     An item may be listed very inexpensively but the shipping may be more than what you are willing to pay.

     The other taboo around shipping is that not every seller will ship to your location.

     Buying clothing and accessories off the Internet is becoming more and more common as our world gets smaller by way of the world wide web.

     Just remember to read up on the products, the stores, and see if you can get feedback from other customers.

     If you aren't the trusting type to shop online or you prefer to only try things on before you purchase, there are other great ways to look amazing every day.

     When shopping in a department store or in a mall, invest in impressive, classic, well-made separates that can be combined for a professional or casual look.

     When I am out shopping, I always look for pieces that will match what I already have at home.

     Another great piece of advice when clothes shopping is to select your best neutral as a starting point for a wardrobe.

     Colors like black, dark grey and navy are versatile and easy to combine with other colors.

     Other neutrals that work well and add a new dimension to a wardrobe include pearl gray, stone, steel blue, camel and celery.

     Your best neutral to stick with when shopping is solely dependent on your personal coloring and style.

     Once you've established a starting point in the color spectrum and you are on the hunt for classic separates that will work well through all sorts of dress types, try purchasing matching components.

     Having the option to wear a skirt or pants with a jacket is great.

     Look for sales... all of the time, in every store, every time you are out.

     I shop off the sales racks all the time. Mark-ups on clothes are INSANE, so always look for a bargain.

     When the seasons shift and the store stocks their shelves and racks with the hottest new wears, pick up the clothes that are moving from shelf to warehouse.

     Most people who shop this way find they can pick up really nice pieces at a fraction of the cost.

     Also, look for buy one, get one free deals on things like shoes and accessories.

     This is a great way to maximize the pieces in your wardrobe without feeling like you are spending a small fortune.

     There are many, many ways to look great and not spend too much- develop a personal style, know your wardrobe and don't buy pieces you won't use or wear.
